Sending a shared link of a PowerPoint file only sends a screenshot of the first page

When I send a file link it is just sending a screenshot of the first page of the file (powerpoint). The file won't send. This is a new problem, I have been sending ppt's for years on Dropbox with no ...

Hi Megan,

It's big,  450MB, mainly due to embedded videos, but I have sent larger in the past. I just tried to send it as a pdf and it worked - but of course none of the videos worked when viewed on Dropbox. I also tried to send there ppt again and it worked , but wouldn't open on Dropbox and had to be downloaded to view (which is fine).
