Is there a way to share a folder via email without downloads permission?

Hi!

Is there any way to share a folder with email (instead of link) but without downloads permission? So only with the capability to view the folder (or files if I share a file) contents.

Thanks!

No. If you share a file or folder with a specific person (invited to the file or folder), they will have download access. There's no way to prevent that.

Using a view-only shared link and setting link permissions (if available on your plan) can prevent downloads, but then the link can be shared with anyone beyond your control.
