Sharing a file via mobile phone text messages
I would like to send a link to a recipient by text message that would allow the recipient to view a video on the mobile device. So simple. Why can't this be done using Dropbox?
This mainly applies to Android, which limits the file size that can be sent by text message.

My main guess is because there is a cost, albeit small, to send texts. The volume that Dropbox would therefore be issuing these in would mean that cost would be huge.

Hey Jim W.46 - thanks for sharing your thoughts on this with us.
I just wanted to mention that even though this isn't an option at this time, you could alternatively share a link to the file you'd like to share with others via text messages.
I hope this helps a tad.
