slow uploading speed 200kb/sec ...
hi,
I am using the Dropbox application on my Windows. since i am 2gb(free plan) user. I tried to upload my images to Dropbox, but it only gets 200kb/sec speed, which is very frustrating. I want to know how to solve this issue.?
I was planning to buy a 2TB plan but if this case remains, it won't be of any use to mine.
My internet speed is 100+ uploading and downloading.

Hi @harjot singh sandhu, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Just to clarify, are you uploading by moving files into the Dropbox folder on your computer, or by uploading direct to the site?
Have you tried increasing or removing the upload bandwidth limit in the Dropbox desktop application?
This will help me to assist further!

Does restarting the Dropbox app or your computer help, harjot singh sandhu ?

Yes, I tired both uploading on the website and from the drive (application) which creates a virtual drive to upload. In both ways my uploading speed not going above 200kbps though my downloading speed is good.
i tried increasing and removing bandwidth, but none of it worked.
thanks

Hey harjot singh sandhu , since you mentioned that the slow upload speed was apparent on both the devices, is it possible that your Dropbox account has more than 300K files, which would be the soft limit of our app?

Hey harjot singh sandhu - sorry to jump in, but I just wanted to mention that if your issue persists you can try restarting your router too.
Let us know of any updates!

Hi, can you please post a screenshot of your internet speed test results -- go to google.com, type in "internet speed test". I'm particularly curious about the upload speeds from your internet, as you might not have a symmetrical connection (100mbps download doesn't always mean that you have 100mbps upload).
Thanks!
Rhut
