The opening of a file I've been invited to view on Dropbox emailed to me by person in my contacts.

Hi Megan, Thanks so much for your offering to help, I really appreciate it. I just took 2 screenshots and tried to sign in again using my aol account, and I may have succeeded in opening the file, a tech. medical abstract on the omicron variant! I'm perplexed as there was no explanation regarding what or why it was sent by this person out of the blue. This person has integrity, so I took it seriously since her email was correct.  The email itself said "you have a new message from (so & so)". The content of the email was a graphic with text saying (so & so) has invited you to view a file on Dropbox with a blue rectangular lid box saying "View File". I clicked on that and was brought to a black Dropbox sign in secure page where I was given the choice to sign in using Office 365, Outlook, AOL, or Yahoo. I think when I started I tried Outlook, but I had incomplete sign in info for myself. That is when I tried to sign in by going straight to the Dropbox website using a browser. I didn't see any new or recent shared file there, so I was perplexed. Still am!  I think I will just run a security scan to be certain, but will let this go. I will just say that in general the near complete lack of intelligible prompts or directions when one is navigating a program, platform, etc. often leaves one dead in the water. I won't bother to send you the screen grabs as I think I've learned by doing! Thank you so much for offering to help, it is the lack of procedural instruction offered which caused me to ask for assistance, I hope I've at least explained my novice level confusion. Perhaps this raises a security issue as well as  a need for helpful "in process" prompts as one navigates.....Best to you, Marc
