Web interface: When creating a new folder, I don't want to be moved into it

I very often have folders containing multiple files that I want to organize using sub-folders.

When creating a new folder or sub-folder in the web interface, it then immediately navigates me into the brand new, empty folder. First, I didn't ask for that. And second, it's not helpful. I immediately have to navigate back to my previous location, where the files I want to move into the new folder are located.

I'm sure there's a use-case for creating new folders and then wanting to drag-and-drop files into them. But this is not 100% of users, clearly, and IMO it's the wrong approach, in general, to trigger an action that the user did not request.
