What is this red dot on files sent to my Dropbox account?

I have a little red dot on files newly sent to my Dropbox.

How do I prevent the little red dots?

Hi tigerbody, it looks like you're using the older version of the Dropbox desktop app on Mac OS, as you're seeing these sync icons

The red icon means that those files aren't syncing to your account for some reason. Do you have enough quota on your account?

Hi JamesBPick, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Could you attach a screenshot showing what you're describing?

Are you using Windows or Mac OS, and which version are you running?

Any other info or details would be helpful!

As far as I know I had downloaded and installed this macOS App only a few months ago.

I will check the version number:

    version: 209.4.3661

    is what I have installed.

and NOPE! I do not have enuf quota on my account.

The whole point is that I am sending this to someone else's account who has enuf storage

included in what they pay your for each month.

    Please help!!!!!

In that case, if you're trying to use a shared folder, then as you've noticed, it takes up quota on all accounts, so you'll need to try other methods in order to send files to them.

I really wish that was clear from the get go - now I have wasted 3 hours of my time doing this rather than working for the client.

I have lost all this money from time.
