Why are files not made online-only when moved into the Dropbox folder?
The following capabilities should have been included with the original release of this feature. Given the 1000s of online questions about this process, Dropbox needs to fix this IMMEDIATELY!
1. Files/Folders created outside of Dropbox and then moved to a Dropbox folder should automatically become Online-Only if the default is Online-Only for all new files.
2. Once Online-Only files have been accessed and resaved, they should automatically return to Online-Only status unless specifically saved offline. I open hundreds of files every day. Asking me to manually reset every file every time I save it is ridiculous.
These two functions are not niceties. They are essential. Their absence indicates a serious lack of forethought and unresponsiveness to customer requests.
I have been using Dropbox for more than 15 years. If this feature is not implemented in the next 30 days, I will be looking for a new service.
Please don't disappoint a loyal user.

Dropbox have previously said no. 2 isnt coming (now that could have changed, but, I doubt it).
There logic was that they don't want to risk data loss by uploading and then actively deleting files on a local device which means its not recoverable if something did go wrong. I would imagine same is the reason for number 1.

Other services seemed to have worked this out safely.
