Account over storage after removing myself from other files

I used to pay for 2TB of storage due to my job working social media, but have since left that job. I was in shared folders with the owner of the company that had a ton of photos. I have removed myself from all permissions and removed all folders, however the storage amount has not changed. I checked the backups section and there is nothing there. Thank you for any help!
