Can I get more space in Dropbox by deleting files?

Can I get more space in dropbox by deleting everything in dropbox or will this also delete everything from the cloud.  Would I also need to remove everything from camera roll to stop the photos autom...

Hi 
If you mean delete from a device such as a mobile then yes you can delete without that also deleting from your cloud account. But, if you mean delete out of the Dropbox folder on a computer etc. that WOULD then delete everywhere.
