Dropbox says my account is full, but I'm only using 8 out of 18GB.
Hi,
I have a free account with Dropbox for many years and have earned 18 GB of space by referring others over the years.
Currently Dropbox has locked my account saying it is Full, and to Upgrade ...

Hi Megan
I deleted the folders online from Dropbox in the incognito window. I then closed my desktop and waited a couple of hours. Now when I go back in, the correct usage seems to be showing.
Problem solved.
Thank you all for your prompt replies and help with this!
Best Wishes,
Dave

Hi Nancy,
Thank you for your prompt and very helpful reply. I don't have any backups, but when I clicked on the Shared tab link you provided, I saw many folders that I had deleted from dropbox years ago. So I right clicked on each and removed access. I also clicked on the link to Price Plan you provided and that showed more files under Regular files... so I deleted many folders there too.
I wonder whether I am deleting folders in the correct way?
From my Windows 10 PC, in Windows Explorer, I right-click on folders within the Dropbox top-level folder and 'delete' from there.
Do I need to do something else to somehow remove a 'shared copy' or something?
Now when I click on my Plan tab I see
Using 19.1 GB of 18.25 GB
Is there some way, I can list the files (or folders) and see the size of each... so I can focus on the large files/folders to delete them?
Best Wishes,
Dave
