How can I get more free space?
Hi, im looking to get more free space. i did all the free offers and invited friends but i went to invite another friend and i did not get the 500MB credit. is there a limit? thanks
Yes there is - there is a limit of 32 referrals. Note as well that you dont get space for inviting, you get space for the invitee accepting and joining Dropbox using a unique computer

I am having the same issue. I invited a friend of mine [email removed as per Community Guidelines]
He followed the link and installed the dropbox on his computer. At my https://www.dropbox.com/account/plan page, it only shows COMPLETED in the status against kevin's id. And no space was added.
It has happened before a couple of times but with other referrals as well. Can you help please? Thanks - Walter5 years ago

In that case, it may be that you've reached your account's maximum referral space.
This is 16 GB for accounts on the Basic plan while it gets doubled when on the Plus, Family or the Professional plan (32GB).
How much space have you earned through referrals so far umairrana75?

Dropbox = D for DEFINITELY AWESOME!
Here are two easy peasy ways to win some free extra space:
1. Complete the "Dropbox getting started checklist"
I got 125 MB for it back in 2013 and it helped me.
Thank you, Dropbox!
2. Contribute to the forum.
If Dropbox likes your answer, they'll award you free storage.
Maybe for this response, I'll get some free storage :).
Thank you in advance, Dropbox, you are AWESOME!

- Dropbox Baic accounts get 500 MB per referral and can earn up to 16 GB!

Hey brunovieira, I was just on the other post you commented, so make sure to check that out.
Here's an article about the ways to get some extra space in your account.
I hope this helps!

Yeah… I’ve read that article before… what I found interesting was the possibility of getting more space here, which I had never read anywhere else… 😉😅 - Aleksej_823 years agoExplorer | Level 4Good afternoon! My tariff is basic, the volume is 2.75 GB. My friend created a free account and he has a volume of 5 GB (i.e. basic). Can I increase my storage capacity to 5 GB?

Hi Aleksj, Certainly, you can increase your storage in Dropbox through both free and paid plans.
To earn free storage space for free up to 18 GB, you can complete the Dropbox getting started checklist or refer your friends, family, and coworkers.
But if you want more space you can pay to upgrade to Dropbox Plus to get 2 TB of storage space or Dropbox Professional to get 3 TB of storage space. If you have a Plus or Professional account and work with two or more colleagues, you may want to consider upgrading to a Dropbox team account, which starts at 5 TB of storage space.
Please feel free to ask the community if you need further clarification on any of these free or paid plans

Hi Aleksej_82
Your friend cannot automatically get an account of 5gb. The free account starts at 2gb, so you yourself already have additional space. If he has extra space he has aquired it from somewhere.
