How do I access, use my client's dropbox without enlarging my free account?

My client has photos I need to edit and re-upload back to him with a update name. The last time I somehow incurred way over the limit and I am not sure how I did that. I had to kill my account becau...

    Hi there poptartcowboy, thanks for using Dropbox and welcome to the Community.

     

    It sounds like your client shared a folder with you. Shared folders take up space on all members of the share. 

     

    If you'd like to upload to your client's account without impacting your own quota, you can ask them to share a link with view only rights for you to access and download the files.

     

    From there, they'll need to open up a file request for you to upload the files after you've edited them.
