I'm out of storage after logging in

Hello,

I recently logged into my account to check some files and suddenly I'm out of storage...

I used to have 8GB total space because I created my account long time ago and probably some people did use my referral link back then but suddenly I get storage removed and this is worrying since they will delete my files....

How did that happen? How can I solve it without removing files? Can the storage be restored back?

Dropbox doesn't remove referral space. It's permanent, provided it was earned earnestly. There are some bonus programs where the space earned is time limited, such as for certain computer or mobile device purchases, though those are usually for much more space.

There's likely nothing to be restored. You can see a list of all the space you've earned and whether it's expired on your Referrals page. If space was removed, you would see it on that list as expired.

Also keep in mind that your usage is showing that you have 3.6GB of shared files in your account. If you need to claim more space and those files aren't needed, you could leave the share.
