I've deleted all of my files on the desktop app, but my Dropbox account is still over-quota.

Question or Issue
Like many users I am getting the Team Storage error 2.65 gb of 2.0gb and I can't do anything to correct the error. I am the Admin btw.
I have deleting all of the files that I have on line, although I deleted some of them from my Mac as opposed to doing it by logging on to Dropbox.com. I suspect that the problem may be because of what the team members (7 of us) are storing on their local machines.
None of us are software experts, so we are doing our best to figure this out. (We are the Exec of a motorcycle enthusiast club and we use Dropbox to make our membership list and other documents available to the exec members.)
I have been trying to figure this out on my own and have not had any success. I would appreciate Andy help and guidance that you can offer.

Welcome to the community Goochman
Your Dropbox account may be over quota (2.65 GB used of a 2.0 GB limit), which can pause syncing and prevent changes until you’re back under the limit. The key thing to know is that other members’ local files do not affect your Dropbox storage unless the content is actually stored in Dropbox.
Please sign in on Dropbox web, delete or move some of the largest files and folders you own, and leave any shared folders you no longer need. Once your usage is back under 2 GB, everything should start working again (it can take a little time for storage totals to refresh).

This is what I see, assuming that this is what you are looking for. There are no files in the ECDOC Executive Folder. They are still in the deleted folders file.
I am beginning to wonder if it might just be easier to delete this Dropbox and start again. Thoughts?

It's possible that one of the other team members might contain the data on their account.
Could you try removing the team members one by one from your team to see if this helps with the quota usage on your team?

First of all, my apologies for not getting back to you sooner. Eighteen inches of snow and 2 very long driveways have a way of changing your priorities!
I did get a start on removing my teammates. I removed the President, who had the highest memory use and the 2.65 GB did to change. Out of curiosity, and also to get a better understanding of how things work, I will delete each of my remaining teammates one at a time to see what happens. I assume that I need to leave a day or so to allow the system to update the memory use.
In the mean time, I am transferring the team over to the new Dropbox that I have created so we can get back to business and converting the original one back to being for my personal use only.
I appreciate the help that you have provided. I had hoped it would be a simple problem with a simple solution, but it turns out that the ignorant (and I use that in the proper sense of the word because I am talking about myself), have an incredible ability to screw up the simplest of systems!I have a few other questions about how the system is supposed to function, but I am probably better to start a new message for that.
Thanks again!Dave G
