Hello, I have 5.75 GB available in my free Dropbox.
Even though it's almost empty, it shows me over 5GB of data. Where are these consumed?
I can't upload anymore because it says I only have 2GB and should upgrade the rest.
I deleted all shared files and the space occupied increased! Asked dropbox for help but they only give support for paid accounts. No argument to get in!

3 years agoHi bewe, I've merged you to this thread. Could you check the plan page to see where the quota is being used up?

Hey Jay, thanks for helping me.
Although mostly all files have been deleted, even shared files and waste basket, it still shows more than 5 GB of data:- Jay3 years ago

Hi bewe, have you tried checking the main Dropbox page and calculating the size of the folders on your account, in case there are some large files there?
- bewe3 years agoExplorer | Level 4
Yes, I did. There are only two folders left in my account, the file size is 4 MB.

Go to
https://www.dropbox.com/backups/PC
On the top left corner you will see a very heavy folder called "DROPBOX BACKUP" that accumulates everything and is totally useless. Just delete it and you're done!

Problem solved. Thanks to all!
