I'm getting an 'out of space' message on Dropbox
I am using the free version of Dropbox on my Lenovo Windows 11 laptop. I have not uploaded any files in over a year. When I added files in January/February 2025, it indicated I had plenty of storage remaining.
25 days ago I began getting messages that I was over the storage limit. None of my devices are synced to Dropbox. I do not see any new photos/files in my profile.
How can I be over my storage without having added any new files?
Thanks in advance

Hi ples, thanks for messaging the Community!
Is it possible that you activated a promotional offer for extra quota? Did you create your account on your laptop, and possibly bought that same laptop last year?
Do you see any referrals or expired promotional quota on this page? How much quota do you have in total when viewing this page?
Any other info or screenshots would be helpful!

Have you checked your Backups page?
