Why are some files in the admin account on my Windows computer as well as the non-admin account?
Running windows 10. In my non-admin account, (let's call it "Anthony"), I have 29GB of files in the dropbox folder. In the Admin account, I don't use the dropbox location, but under the dropbox folde...

Thanks for the response Hannah.
Yes, I meant Admin and non-Admin as in relation to Windows accounts. I'm not 100% on the dropbox installation, but I'm pretty sure I installed it for all users. We use the camera uploads feature from 2 phones.
From the Anthony account, if I go Dropbox, the top 3 folders are .dropbox.cache ; Anthony ; Apps. From the Admin account, I have the same view, so I deleted a .png file and it was deleted also from the Anthony account in the same location. When deleting it from Admin, a warning came up, "This file will be deleted from your Dropbox account.
Because it is online only, it won't be moved to your Recycle Bin, but recently deleted files can be restored on dropbox.com."
When I look from the Anthony account at .png files in the same location, and right-click, I have the option to make it ;online only'. If I delete a file from the Anthony account I do not get the 'online only' warning.
Also from the Admin account, when I opened another file, I got the pop-up warning: "Avoid file conflicts. The dropbox badge appears during Microsoft file conflicts. When visible, you can view version history, share links & collaborate efficiently."
Hopefully this helps you work out what's going on. I'm happy to have an interactive screen share if that would make it quicker and easier.

5 months agoThanks for the update and the additional info, HappySheep!
I'm afraid a screen sharing session isn't a possibility through the Community, but would it be possible to send us some screenshots of the issue?
Perhaps a couple of screenshots of both Dropbox folders, to see how they appear for you?
Feel free to edit out any personal info from the screenshots, of course.

Seems that dropbox links are not allowed so please let me know how to post images.
