Alphabet navigation on ipad disappeared
The alphabet navigation disappeared on our ipad os version 16.7.2, dropbox version 362.7. We rely on that to navigate the numerous files we have. How do I get it back?

Hello Dropbox gurus-
i am having a huge problem - the alphabet quick slider in my folders disappeared sometime in the last few weeks.
I need to jump from file to file quickly, in a live music on-stage performance setting. I have over 600 files. Moving quickly is critical to my vocation and success. I hope you guys can help or release an update with a fix.

- SConnon2 years agoHelpful | Level 6Alphabet slider is gone. Please bring it back. I have Dropbox 364.2.4 on iPhone IOS 16.7.5. I cleared cache and looked into the settings but see nothing to turn on an index. It’s also gone on my iPad with most up-to-date IOS.
- BNY2 years agoHelpful | Level 5It seems Dropbox has no direct answer to this problem. I’ve struggled with this issue more than a year and have given up

Hi everyone! After checking with our team, it looks like this feature has been indeed removed from iOS devices (please check Ben's post here). I'll definitely share your feedback with the team though, so that they can also see your comments.

Ben’s post says there is a slider bar. There definitely is not one on Dropbox 364.2.4, iPhone IOS 16.7.5. Please bring some kind of quick navigation for hundreds of files inside a folder! Dropbox has made my life a little more tedious by removing this feature.

Hi again, SConnon! Did you try scrolling down a bit with your thumb and the scroll bar still doesn’t show?
- Badibiagio2 years agoHelpful | Level 6Thank you. It would be great if you could return this feature even as an option that needs to be turned on in ‘Settings.’

I can flick with my thumb/finger on the screen to move up and down through the files. Definitely nothing quick. No bar of any kind shows up. The alphabet list on the right worked so perfectly. I would love to see it back.
- Broadwaymhl2 years agoHelpful | Level 6Hi Ben
I agree with everyone else. If it’s an inconsistent experience, how about making it optional so that people who aren’t enjoying it don’t have to have it there. It’s just too valuable (as you can see from these comments) to just remove. It’s become so frustrating to navigate just with that tiny “scroll bar”!
