Photo albums disappeared
Hi
Can somebody please help me as all my Albums not files have disappeared.
I have hundreds of pictures stored in these albums and need them back?
Look for to hearing back from people
Hey Martyn, sorry to jump in here, but I just want to clarify that we have recently made a change to the Dropbox Android mobile application that has removed the "Albums" from the Photos tab. This change didn’t remove photos or videos you’ve uploaded to the app.
You can still find your uploaded photos and videos in the Photos tab or at dropbox.com/photos
For this and more common fixes for the Android app, you can check out this Help Center article.
I hope this helps!

Hey Piggy75, thanks for joining our Community!
Are you referring to the Dropbox app on your phone? And do you have an Android phone?
Do you still see your photos in the 'photos' tab?
Keep me posted! - Piggy754 years agoHelpful | Level 6Hi Hannah
Yes it is the Dropbox app on my Samsung 21s ultra and also my Samsung tablet.
Most of the pictures are in photos but go back years. All my albums have disappeared.I could press down on a picture then the album option would appear but doesn't now!
Thanks

Hey Checkmate Bishop, thanks for reaching out.
I moved your post to this thread, as I believe you're referring to the same situation.
You should find some useful info here about this in Walter's reply, but do let me know if you have any questions. - Piggy754 years agoHelpful | Level 6Hi Walter
Thank you for your response about Albums.
I totally understand changes are made often to apps but Dropbox sent no information regarding changes so I have lost all my albums now!!
Not happy is a understatement!
Thanks
Martyn - Lels4 years agoHelpful | Level 6I have also lost all of my albums! I spent month setting all of them up and sorting into events to quickly access and now they are all gone. No notice from Dropbox either of this change! How can I recover these albums????
- Piggy754 years agoHelpful | Level 6Hi
It's very frustrating and disappointing that there was no warning from Dropbox. Not sure you can retrieve them now...they say the pics are still stored but you would have to scroll all the way back through them....thats years of pics for my as had the stored room 2014!

I also just discovered that the Albums feature is gone. What was the justification for removing them? As others have noted here we spent HOURS AND HOURS organizing photos using Albums. When Dropbox announced this feature all of the tech sites highlighted what an amazing feature it was. So for it to silently disappear without giving us the option to export them or "migrate" them to a different structure is really negligent. Does anyone at Dropbox have a suggestion on how to recover or migrate the old Albums to the new folder structure or are the Albums gone forever?
