Apple Silicon (M1) Desktop Sync Compatibility
Please can you upgrade the Dropbox app so that it works natively on Apple Silicon Macs (M1) without Rosetta.
Rosetta is not an option as it annihilates the battery.
This may be a duplicate of the below idea however that started for ARM processors in general and you haven't looked at it in 6 years so starting an Apple specific idea in the hope you see it.
There are also lots of comments on this thread to help support the case for demand:
Hi all,
Native Apple silicon support is now fully available. All users with Apple silicon devices will receive the native version of Dropbox automatically. If you would like to update your device manually, you can do so by clicking on the latest Stable Build and downloading the Offline Installer (Apple Silicon) file. For more information, visit the Dropbox Help Center. If you need assistance with anything else, please feel free to create a new thread and our community team will be happy to assist.

How many more votes does this need

Pretty sure it has enough votes now. Just need to wait for San Francisco to wake up. Still early there

Your attitude towards this is absolutely wild, Dropbox!

ARM is happening with or without you. Don't ask users. Ask yourselves, Kodak.

My M1Pro MacBook Pro arrives in a few days. Thanks for the info that Dropbox saps M1 battery life and that Dropbox (bizarrely) has no plans to support native M1 - I'll uninstall and get rid of Dropbox at this point as I'm also using other services which will support Mac silicon.

Wow. This is seriously worrying - are you guys out of money or something? Should we be worried about the viability of Dropbox here? This isnāt a strategic decision guys, this is a BAU change. Youāre really betting on gasoline for your future success when the whole world is going electricā¦? Sorry, but this is nuts. Hello Box!

Well i think it's clear now with the highest upvotes and reactions that Dropbox needs to fix this.
- Rosetta is not the solution.
- Dropbox uses to much cpu and ram now which affects the battery life
- Many people will move if they don't fix it even paying business users like me.
- It's nonses that we have to ask for it.
- Dropbox had almost a year to work on this.
- Much more to find about this problem in the comments
I see it's in review now god thanks. Still weird that we have to beg for it.

wow, I've been sitting patiently for a M1/Finder Extension version, but seems like that's never coming. Time to cancel my subscription and finally move everything to iCloud Drive. too bad
