Hi
I got the exact same problem. I ignored every folder from ".vs" and down. Any newly created files will still end in deadlock as Dropbox insist on syncing them. This again usually ends in that I have to set Dropbox on sync to be able to work normally. Its not a good solution. An ignored folder should stay ignored.
Dropbox version: 299.4.7134.
OS: Latest Windows 11.
VS: Latest 2022.
This is not something that started now, but I am finally getting tired of workaround so I tried to ignore folders and was rather surprised it was not working. I will try to reconfigure VS, but it should still not be like this.

2 years agoHi Aslak, could you confirm the version number for the desktop app that you're using, since I think the number is too high?
There is a newer version out now, could you try upgrading to that one?

Sorry. Typo. Its v200.4.7134
I will upgrade to 201.4.5552 that seems to be the latest version.

When I try do download I get the message that the "file was not available on the server"
If I try to use the standard installer I get more or less the same problem. "Validation of the downloaded file failed."

Could you try downloading the installation file with another browser?
Do you have any proxy, VPN, firewall, security software, or even ISP/router settings that could be restricting traffic to the following Dropbox domains?
