Can I only use Dropbox through the website?

Is it possible to use Dropbox exclusively via the web with a browser on a Mac?  So there would be no app installed on the computer.

  • Hey prohap2, if you no longer want to use the Dropbox application on your Mac computer, you'll first need to unlink it from your Dropbox account.

To do that you can sign out of the application or delete it from the security tab in your account settings.

Once the computer is unlinked, you can uninstall the Dropbox app and safely delete the Dropbox folder.

Yes, absolutely. You can simply upload and download files through your browser as needed. Just sign in to the Dropbox website.

Thanks.  If there is already a Dropbox app and folder that was previously installed on the Mac, can I simply delete the folder and app from my computer without deleting it from the website?  Then in the future only use a browser and the website.
