Dropbox Icon not working. Doesn't show preferences or any other topics

Recently I wanted to modify the files I'm syncing to my hard drive.  I have a laptop with Windows 11.  I've been adjusting my display because I have vision difficulties.  I've taken the display back to the suggested sizes.  When  I open the Dropbox Icon it cuts off the top selection bar.  All I see is the latest activity.  I try different display sizes and where it cuts off is different.  I can't move the box at all to try to see more of it.  So now I can no longer control the sync.   HELP!!!!

  • Hi TrudyD1474, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

It's possible that putting the display at a specific resolution or zoom could result in the Dropbox desktop application not appearing as it would normally.

Could you try using Ctrl+Click on the Dropbox icon in the system tray itself? This will get you to the preferences for the app.

Keep me updated with any progress!

Hey jbhelicon, sorry to hear about this.

Could you try installing the desktop app from this page and let us know if the issue persists?

    Hi Walter

    Maybe i'm missing something fundamental.
Installed the new DBox version from the page. Can't see how to give u a version #.

Ctrl-Click brings up the image below.
Looks nothing like my Win 10 version. "..."  brings up Options and Properties that don't show a mechanism to selectively sync as far as i can see.

Am i even vaguely in the right place?

What icon are you clicking on? You need to click on the Dropbox icon in your system tray on your taskbar (near the clock).
