Dropbox Issues with Mac OS Mojave
Users on Mac OS Mojave are experiencing an issue with Dropbox, their computers have become extremely slow. It works fine when Dropbox is not running.
When Dropbox app is relaunched, it takes about 30 minutes then it tries to sync files and that never stops.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Does anyone know how we fix this?
THANK YOU, firstlooks!

For the non-tech-savvy, an easy way to get to the ~/.Dropbox folder is to use the Finder Go menu and click Go to Folder, and enter (very carefully):
~/.Dropbox
A window will open with the contents of the folder. Delete them all. (AFTER you have quit Dropbox and deleted it, and renamed or deleted or moved your Dropbox folder.)

me too. I have spent months trying to keep my passwords and my system is way slow. on mac pro the drop box went away. on imac its still there. it doesnt even remember its own password. I am told by Apple Support --do this, do that. then again lost passwords , way slow, they dont support other platforms--I can't even figure how to move my account to icloud and drop dropbox without losing files. google mail also gone rogue since mojave.
any ideas?

Apparently my problem was not with Mojave or its ability to work with dropbox. After having a specialist analyze my iMac, I found that the problem was my hard drive that was slowly failing. It must have coincidental with the installation of Mojave. Subesquently, I switched to a solid state drive and everything is working fine, compatibly and fast.

I am. I have an old macair running high sierra. Boom -really quick. I don't synchronise all the files on that.
My i-mac -late 2015 tear-your-hair-out- slow! Awful!!!

I have Dropbox and Mojave installed on 3 computers - iMac 2013, MacBook Pro 2014 and MacBook Air 2013 and I haven't had any problem with DropBox and Mac OS Mojave on either one of them.

Worked for me too! Instead of copying all the original dropbox to another folder, I directly used mv from the terminal to move its contents to another place, then mv back again the contents to the new Dropbox folder (with the new Dropbox in pause). Then I restarted sync in dropbox and it was synchronizing during 4 hours (>400000 files). This would lead two days before! Now it is working perfectly. Many thanks!
