DropBox won't finish the Set Up on Win10
Hello !
I downloaded the .exe and installed DropBox (I just reinstalled Win10 on my PC)
The first part went well but the Set Up process takes forever and gets nowhere... No error message, nothing...

Thanks for the info, if the app is definitely not installed, then try downloading the offline installer (choose the appropriate version for your computer) and let me know how it goes.

This did not work for me, still having the same problem. I downloaded the 187 mg Dropbox executable in about 1 minute, but let the set up run for 7 hours yesterday using the standard exe and about 20 minutes this morning using the offline version. My Dropbox account has just under 700 mg of files - 71 mine and the rest shared. So, download speed is not the issue. Got any other suggestions?

3 years agoHey AVeenstra, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
Have you tried rebooting your computer and/or your router since you first noticed this?
If not, could you give it a go and let us know how it goes when you download the offline installer directly from this page?
Thanks!

Doesn't appear to be working. I did both, rebooted my router, I turned my computer back off a second time this morning, trimmed my Dropbox files down from 700 megs to 140, and used the off-line exe version. Still have dancing blue boxes after about 15 - 20 minutes.

Let it run for about 45 minutes then shut it off.

The storage space your files in Dropbox are taking up has nothing to do with installing the desktop app on your computer AVeenstra
Are you getting any kind of errors perhaps? Could you send maybe send us a screenshot so that we can have a look too?
If you're running an antivirus on your computer, you could also temporarily disable it to see if it's somehow causing this issue.
