the terminal does not show the password. The cursor on screen will not move, this is the correct behaviour. Just enter your password and press enter and then add the next line by copy/pasting and pressing enter again. Do this until you are finished with all the lines. After having pressed enter after the last line, reinstall the app.

Hi Megan,
Thanks for the speedy reply. I did try to reboot the system too and still, it is not working. Feel free to send an email.
Thank you

Hi Megan,
I just figured out a solution. I am describing it in a little more detail here for people who may have the same situation.
Situation:
When I start dropbox, it normally shows "starting" with the two blue boxes cycling. After several minutes, the error box pops up and dropbox closes itself.
Solutions:
1. I tried what Megan suggested in the other post to enable full disk access and accessibility for dropbox under privacy and security in the system settings.
2. While that doesn't solve the problem, I guess you need those accesses anyway.
3. During the dropbox starting stage, I went to the preference in the drop-down menu from dropbox, and I logged out of my account. Dropbox then quit.
4. I then restarted dropbox and logged in with my account. Everything went well then.
Thank you
