Are you still having this issue? If so, I'd like to give you some context on how the app works in this case.
Since your computer's OS was updated, the app might have needed to perform a re-index of your files.
If you have other apps that also begin to run when your computer starts, they might compete with the Dropbox app, making the re-index take more time than expected.
If you have many and/or very large files, one way to help the app in this case is to reduce the number of files in your Dropbox folder with selective sync.
