Error when trying to download the Dropbox desktop app
I am having the same issue with downloading desktop app. I had it on my laptop and it stopped syncing. So I uninstalled the app but now can't get it back. I did the system scan, used various private browsers, cleared cache, restarted, and tried downloading the Dropbox219.4.4463. But still couldn't get it to work. Please help.

What, exactly, is the issue you're having? Is it while trying to download the application from the Dropbox website, or while installing? Are you getting an error message? We need details of the issue before we'll know how to best help you.

That version is over 7 months old and no longer current. There have been dozens of releases since then. Make sure you're downloading the latest stable version from the Dropbox website. You can see all of the latest releases from Dropbox Desktop Client Builds.

Hi Rich, I was trying to install the desktop app. I had it for years and it stopped synching, so removed it and tried to download it again. An earlier thread suggested downloading an older stable built version. I tried downloading the current version again today and did not get an error message. But when I tried to open the Dropbox app, nothing happened. When I opened the file location, all I got was shortcut files.

Hey hlou1206 - thanks for the clarification and the additional information. Can you try the offline installer from this page directly and let us know how it goes?

Sorry for the slow response. I just tried using the offline installer and it worked. Thank you so much!
