How do I swap to different account on Windows PC?
I am running Windows 10, have the Desktop app installed and have 2 different Dropbox accounts - it is currently set up to access Account1.
For various reasons, I need to stop using this one and move to Account2. For the life of me I cannot work out how to do this!
I uninstalled the app, reinstalled but it remembered Account1 and took me to it.
I then tried.....
- Click on Dropbox icon in the system tray
- Click on the account avatar
- Preferences
- Sign Out and confirm
- Whirrs away and then I get the "Welcome to Dropbox" window and gives 2 options...
- "Sign in with Dropbox"
- "Create an account on dropbox.com"
- Picked the first one and get "Successfully logged in and connected" and it is to Account1
- "Welcome back" and I am back to square one!
How do I get it to forget Account1 and allow me to connect to Account2?
Thanks
Hey MysteryMan, when you're trying to sign into the app with Account2, are you also connected to the same account online on our website?
I'd suggest you sign out of Account1 both online, and then through the app and then try to connect to Account2 online first, and then see if the app follows.

Hey MysteryMan, welcome to our Community!
Are both of the accounts individual ones, or is it an individual and a Dropbox Team one?
Generally, the steps that you followed in order to sign out of the app are correct and it should allow you to connect your second Dropbox account.
Did you recently try to uninstall the app at all?
Keep me posted!

Thanks for reply.
The 2 accounts are totally separate ones - no connection at all.
Yes, as mention in my original post, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app - reverted to original account with no option to enter new account's credentials!
