Hi rbmtexas417, welcome to our Community!

If I understand your needs correctly, it sounds like you wish to uninstall the desktop app from your device, is that right?

If not, feel free to clarify and let me know more!

You can uninstall the app using these steps. Once that happens, all of your Dropbox content will remain locally on the device, but they won't be syncing to your account online.

    I hope this helps!

Yes that is what I want to do.  So just by uninstalling the DropBox app, ALL of my files will be back on my computer.  I will see if that works.  I have no need to share my files, and some files are rarely used - it makes them difficult to locate.   I will see if this works.  Thank you
