I can't reinstall Dropbox on my laptop - after a point the installation process just stops
I uninstalled the Dropbox app from my laptop as its file structure would not sync with the web version.
When I reinstalled it, it had retained the old incorrect file structure; I uninstalled it again using this article (which I may have misunderstood as I am not technically minded)
How to run an advanced reinstall of Dropbox on your computer
Now it won't reinstall at all - I run the installer, it says "on your marks" and nothing happens.
I'm now unable to access files on my laptop which was the whole point of buying a subscription!
I do have Google Drive although rarely used.
In the end I solved the problem by running a System Restore in Windows to the day before I had uninstalled Dropbox. This restored the app and it was perfectly synced.

Hi kbmsg, did you already try an advanced re-installation of the Dropbox desktop application on your machine?

Can you send us a screenshot of where you're getting stuck kbmsg?
Also, what is your computer's exact OS version? When you say configurations, are you referring to the app's preferences and your sync settings, for example, or something else?
