I can't resume syncing after pausing indefinitely on Windows 11 (v240.4.8493).
Application Affected
Dropbox
Device
Dell Desktop
Operating System/Browser (if using the web)
Windows 11
Dropbox App Version (if using the app)
240.4.8493
Question or Issue
I paused syncing syncing last week "indefinitely." Now, I want to resume. But there is no way to do so. The bottom text of the app window pop-up just says "Syncing paused." That text is not clickable. The drop down next to it only lets you select how long to pause for. There is no "Resume." Yes, I have restarted the app and my PC. This is insane.z

Thanks for your post, jsingleton.
I can see you’ve also posted here about your issue.
Can you send me a screenshot of the options you’re currently seeing on your end?
I’d like to have a look and check what else we can try together.
Keep me posted.

jsingleton BogdanDinu back with an update, the team is currently working on a fix for this and its scheduled to go out in our next update. Thanks so much for bringing this issue to our attention.
In the meantime, you can use the native menu (right click) to resume syncing

Is there any eta on this? I have the same issue, and right-clicking does not give me any option to resume.

Can you please clarify: "the native menu (right click)"
I don't see this option anywhere in the Dropbox interface or status bar icon? - Hannah1 month ago

Hey colinm, I think Dell might be referring to the Dropbox icon in your system tray.
Can you right-click on in and let me know what options you see?

Right-click was showing the new (as of today?) Dropbox interface, with no option to "resume sync". It just showed the options to pause syncing.
But I was able to go into Preferences and change the interface back to the previous layout, and the "resume" option was there.
It appears to be syncing normally now. - Hannah1 month ago

Perfect!
Indeed, the new version of the Dropbox app came out a few hours ago, so I'm glad to see that your issue was fixed with the new update.
