I keep getting a request from windows to install a Dropbox Update, but nothing happens.
I am using Windows 10 [upto date]
I keep getting a request from windows to install a Dropbox Update...... when I agree nothing happens and the request comes again later in the day.

The Windows message to update dropbox says>>> CLSD:(4942331-4EDE-838E-F8C8F3F6BF62
I am unable to prntscreen

2 years agoHey beastie, can you use this website to help you take a screenshot of the message?
Once you've taken it, you should be able to see a camera icon above the reply box here on the Community, so you can attach your screenshot in your next reply.

Hi beastie, have you changed the UAC settings on your machine to be more sensitive?
Did you install the Dropbox desktop application with admin privileges by following these steps?

I have not touched UAC settings

Thanks for your help I have Dropbox 166.4.2920 already installed which I think is the uptodate version.
I have adjusted the UAC and then set back to my normal setting 75% I hope it has fixed the problem.I will let you know if Dropbox is still trying to update

Regretfully still getting request for Dropbox update, 2 came thru yesterday when laptop was not in use on standbye.
Do you know what that windows message is? Do you think this is a Windows problem???
