Installing dropbox on an apple air

Hi, I have an apple air that works perfectly well. I have a (paying) account for dropbox. Therefore I use the app on my iMac. Perfect. Recently I had some problem to synchonise with my apple air. Therefore I deleted the app on my apple air. I downloaded (several times) the app and tried to install it. The dropbox icon appears in my menu on top of my screen. It is grey and remains grey. It tries to start but doesn't succeed. After some time I get an error message telling me that dropbox cannot be started and that I should contact dropbox support. They add this message: (I deleted some data with regard to my name ... Unfortunately it is in Dutch) Can anyone give me advice?

Hi there Nikolaas, sorry to hear about this.

Could you let us know if you've granted Dropbox full disk access as outlined here?

If you did and this persists, can you reboot your computer and let us know how it goes?

    Thanks!

    Thanks for your response.

My apple runs a MacOS 13.5

I have granted full access to dropbox. But, for the next step, dropbox does not appear in the accessibility tab as described in point 8.

After rebooting (restarting the engine) the issue remains the same.

    What to do next?

    Greetings from Amsterdam,

    Nikolaas

Did you install it on your computer with admin privileges in the first place, Nikolaas?

If you did and this persists after quitting the app, rebooting your computer and relaunching the app again, let us know here and we'll reach out via email to have a further look internally.

    Hi,

I did what you asked me to do. No change ...

    Looking forward to further instructions.

PS: 1. Some days ago I downloaded an update for my apple air (macOS Ventura 13.5.1)

PS. 2. I have been using dropbox on this computer for several years, without any problem

    Greetings from Amsterdam,

    Nikolaas
