it is easier to rid of viruses than dropbox

Question or Issue
dropbox charged me after I cancelled so I want it off my machine but following the uninstall steps still leaves it behind - I even found a preference file that is missed in the original instructions and it still comes back when I try to install the basic version
so I have
quit the app
dragged app to trash
deleted the dropbox folder 
searched for the dropbox prefs file and deleted it

where else does this thing leave files ?
