2 months agoHi MKD-W11, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
If you're not on a Dropbox Basic plan with more than 3 devices connected, could you try an advanced reinstall of the app using the steps in this link?
Make sure to delete the Dropbox folders once the Dropbox desktop application has been uninstalled first, before performing the rest of the installation.
This should clear any reference to both Dropbox folders on your machine.

Unfortunately I am on a Dropbox Basic/Free plan (with 3 devices connected -having removed the Win10 PC that migrated from)- Jay2 months ago

Since the Dropbox folder is showing up as the same location, then it shouldn't be possible to have the folder appear twice, nor would it take up twice the space on your machine, since there is only one location.
Is it possible that you've duplicated the Dropbox folder within the Dropbox folder itself using this migration tool?
