logfile
does dropbox or the dropbox service maintain a log file?
If so, where is it located?
There are logs, but they're encrypted and can't be read. If an error occurs, Dropbox will usually link to a text file that it creates with the necessary portion of the log related to the error.

Hi Frank P E., currently, we don't have any specific information on when the log is generated during the running of the Dropbox desktop application.
