As for your issue, can you give us some more details?

If I understand correctly, the sync status shows a "waiting to be linked to a Dropbox account" message.

Do you have any security apps, like a VPN, antivirus, proxy or firewall that could be affecting the Dropbox app?

Any additional info would be helpful.
