Offline files not available in iOS app.
Hi
For the last few days my offline files have been unavailable in my IOS apps (iphone and ipad). Every time I try to access them I get the yellow triangle saying refresh update. I connect to wifi and do this however the yellow triangle stays and when I go to the folders in offline mode they are all empty. I have tried removing the offline files, clearing cache and redownloading but still with the same result. The reason I want to have offline files is so I can use them while I am offline, but the constant need to update or sync them makes it necessary to always be online, which is not always possible eg when travelling.
I have updated to the latest version 424.2 and it was working fine for about a day but now it's happening again. Is there any other setting I can try for this?

Hey GeoffBee, thanks for the info!
Have you tried uninstalling the mobile app, by any chance?
Also, could you attach a few screenshots of the behavior and the icons that you mentioned, in order for me to have a step-by-step visual?
Is it possible to test this by connecting to another WiFi network temporarily? Are you currently connected to your home network, or a corporate one?

Hi Megan, many thanks for responding.
The total folder size is 15gb however it is made up of a number of subfolders and files, the largest of which is about 600mb.
This is a shared folder however the files have not been updated for a while - certainly not within the last few weeks or so. I have moved them into a non-shared folder to see if that helps the situation.
What happens is I see the list of folders with a mix of green tick and yellow warning icons, however when I go into the green tick folders when offline they appear empty with the text "no internet connection". I have checked the space usage and the files have downloaded. As I said I updated the dropbox app to 424.2 the day before yesterday and was able to access my files offline, and even this morning they were working but they suddenly stopped working about half an hour ago. I used m phone hotspot to refresh and update as instructed, but the icon remained yellow and I was unable to see them after disconnecting.

Hey GeoffBee, welcome to our Community!
How large are the files you're trying to offline?
Also, does this only happen with shared files or files in a shared folder? I'm asking because the yellow exclamation point means that a newer version of your content is available.
Just to clarify, do you get the “failed to download” error, after tapping on the yellow question mark icon next to the files you want to make offline?
Also, as a test, I’d like you to follow these steps and let me know if you’re still having an issue after that.
Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there!
