Passwords not available on the new computer. Pop-up never arrives, why?
I just got a new computer after the last one suffered a hard-drive failure. I'm trying to set up and sync my accounts on the new machine, and was happy because I saved most of my passwords in Google ...

Hello, thanks for your reply! I unfortunately don't have access to the old computer. It is completely dead. I might be able to have the hard-drive restored, but I haven't done that yet. And that was the only device I used Dropbox from. I never logged in on my phone, unfortunately. I have tried multiple browsers and get the same error.

3 years agoHey bubbliciouscyborg, can you please try these steps, to see if they help?
- Download and install the Passwords mobile app or browser extension on your new device
- Sign in to Passwords using your main Dropbox account email and password—you will be prompted to check your other device for a notification
- Click on "I don't have that device"
- Click “Continue”
- Enter your recovery words in the correct order
- Click "Continue"
