Could you try installing the app from the Dropbox site first, and then try uninstalling it?

Hi, yes, that worked! I didn't realize that I must have already uninstalled it.
I suppose my remaining problem then is how to remove the files from my computer.

No worries, once the app is uninstalled, you should be able to delete the Dropbox folder from your machine.
