Slow sync issue after updating the desktop app to v210.4.4854.
Ive got an issue with the upgrade. Anyone else have the same problem? Slow in sync, VERY slow in making the connection and very useless box that DOES NOT tell me which files it does'nt not recognize.
There isn't a solution. The sync is slow and incomplete files are not shown on any screen, even if you have the ORIGINAL file (and you can see it) on an external drive. I will have to either seek a new computer OR find another provider.
I now have 212.4.5767

As there is no way to see what can not be sync, seems this is a page is a waste of everybody time. PERHAPS YOU CAN PASTE TO THE UPGRADE PAGE? Dont other people have issues?
The 'See Issues' is just a small screen where I have added this but it is only blank with a 'Like' and 'Unlike' button so no use to anyone.
I have a copy of everything in Dropbox every month, so I was going to copy from the external hard drive. But seeing as I dont know, seems to be wasting my time.

Hey Road_warrior, I'm afraid there's no way to see the names of the files that cannot sync.
However, you should be able to click the "See issues" button to see your troubleshooting options.
Also, can you please clarify what you mean by "install them from outside of Dropbox"?
Do you want to remove them from the Dropbox folder?

Thanks Megan
The problem rectified itself, so no issues with your help screen. It was not helpful.
The program now tells me that we have "333 files unable to the sync" so how do I get to see the names of them and installed them from OUTSIDE of Dropbox?

Hi Road_warrior!
According to Microsoft, the reason for this issue could be related to antivirus programs interfering with DLL loading.
Can you take a look at the article here, to see if it helps?

Now have a message:
"Program: C:\Program Files (x86)\Dropbox\Upgrade\DropxboxUpgrade.exe R6030 - CRT not initialised"
Do what now?

The second SUSE OS also completed and both seem to be performing normally even after reboots.
Thanks for your help!

I let Dropbox run on one SUSE OS all night after stopping it and restarting it via command line. It did finally complete it's syncing and seems to be running normally. I am running another OS and letting it run for the day, then I will reboot into the first one and see if it stays "happy".
Stay tuned.

Thanks for the screenshot Road_warrior - much appreciated.
Could you try signing out from your account via the app's preferences and then back in?
If syncing gets stuck again after that, let us know and we'll reach out via email to investigate further.
