The desktop app on my Mac has been stuck indexing files. I can only access some of them.
I installed the mac dropbox update and the application began indexing my files. It has now been stuck for the last few days. I can only access some files. Many are now only available through dropbox....

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for your patience while we investigated. We have confirmed that the problem with resyncing has been resolved with macOS Sonoma 14.1. Users should not experience a resync when upgrading to 14.1.
Upgrading to 14.1 will prevent resyncing, but it will not resolve this issue for users who have already become 'stuck' on the resync upon upgrading to 14.0. We can help, but we're asking that users contact support for individual assistance.
Regards,
Ben

Teddy73 what I did is I did an advanced reinstall where I wiped out all my previous settings Dropbox and then installed a fresh one. Did you do that? That might work. Here is the link explaining https://help.dropbox.com/installs/advanced-reinstall

OceanSunrise thanks for replying.
I did this advanced reinstall around 2 weeks ago, it didn't work. But I will try again now that Sonoma 14.1 is out and the updated Dropbox desktop app V186.4.6207. Maybe the combination of these new versions will work 🤞
Did it work for you? If so could you tell us what software versions you were using when it worked.

Same for me. I'm on Sonoma 14.1. All it worked but after moving some files, it started to sync...and now it's stucked!!!!
Do I have to contact the supporto to solve?
- OceanSunrise2 years agoCollaborator | Level 8@Teddy43 To be honest with you I don’t remember. But currently I’m on the latest software version of Mac 14.1 and I have two MacBooks and one PC and finally all are syncing fine with everything. Also I noticed in Preferences make files available offline was turned off for some reason so I turned it back on. Check that out as well.
