Where is avatar Windows 10 Dropbox App

New user.  Windows 10.  Dropbox installed.  Icon in taskbar.  Dropbox folder location is on C drive.  I need it to be on my much much larger D drive.  I have directions on how to change the location that requires getting to PREFERENCES   "Open your Dropbox desktop app preferences"  found by "clicking on the avatar.  BUT I see no avatar (my name or picture at the top or the bottom.  Just a regular Windows folder view.  Thus

What am I missing?  Thanks for your help.  Gene

Hey gcutuly, I'd be happy to answer this for you!

Your Dropbox icon should be next to your WiFi icon, and your date and time.

You can also have a look at this Help Center article that explains how you can find your preferences.

Can you give this a go, and let me know the updates?

Thank you Megan.  I do have all the directions on how to change the location of the Dropbox folder.  And, of course, I can locate the the icon to launch Dropbox on my Windows computer. What I cannot do is locate as per the directions the place to click (avatar) to set my Dropbox Preferences.  That was my question.

When I launch Dropbox on my Windows computer, the only view I see is a normal folder view.as per the image I sent in my first query.  No place do I see the avatar the directions reference on Windows.

Perhaps I need to look closer at NOT the app on the computer but Dropbox.com?

Again, I really appreciate the time you took to respond.

      Regards,

      Gene

Hey gcutuly, sorry to jump in here, but I just wanted to mention that you need to click on the Dropbox icon in your system tray to access your avatar and preferences

Also, the syncing overlays on the files shown in your screenshot are used by a 3rd party app, not Dropbox.

        I hope this helps, Gene.
