Dropbox used to use around 400 - 450 MB of memory. After i followed the instructions given in https://help.dropbox.com/nl-nl/installs/advanced-reinstall#reinstallDropboxmac meticulously, i ended up with the use of around 700 MB. What is/went wrong?

Hey Rob F.14! Hope you don’t mind if I jump in here.
Can you clarify which of the steps you’ve followed exactly, so that I can guide you from there?
I’d also like to know the current syncing status and app version of your Dropbox app.
