Why is the Dropbox app using over 700 MB of memory on my Mac computer?

Have been using Dropbox for years but lately my iMac is extremely slow. Checking the Activity Monitor from Apple, learned that Dropbox is using 747,9 MB of memory.

What should be a normal value and how to get there. Help would be highly appreciated.

Hmm, I see. Can you try this link instead to download the latest stable app version?

I tried all the links you provided, but to no avail.

Finally I tried to download from page https://www.dropbox.com/install and I assumd it is the latest stable version. After downloading and installing, I found out that it is version 224.3.4654! Something seems to be wrong here.

Now Apple's monitor tells me that Dropbox is using 436,1 MB Is this an acceptable value?

Hey Rob F.14, it should be.

However, if you'd like to have a closer look as to why you ended up in the beta version again, I'd suggest that we switch to email communication.

I'd like to check some account-specific info, this is why I'm suggesting this route.
