Dropbox Paper freezes on Chrome.
For the past month, I cannot use my Dropbox Paper account in my Chrome Browser on my PC running Windows 11. Anytime I open Paper in Chrome, it immediately crashes Chrome and freezes the whole browser...

Hey irstm, it seems like I missed your message, my apologies!
So, after some investigation, it would seem that Chrome users (mostly) on Windows may experience an issue with crashes or lagging in Paper.
Our engineers are aware and are working with the Chromium browser developers towards a solution.
In the meantime, you can untick all of the options in chrome://accessibility (chrome://accessibility/) or use Safari or Firefox.

I can confirm that killing all of the accessibility options on Chrome does allow Dropbox Paper to start working again properly.

Same issue happening to me on Edge AND Chrome

Thank you this worked for me!

This has been accepted as a solution - but it isn't a solution it is a work-around. Is there any news on when the code will be fixed?

The problem is back for me again. I cleared cache again, but this time it didn't help the freezing.

Could you try try using incognito/private browsing mode without any extensions and plugins running to see if this helps?

Tried it as suggested in Chrome and Edge, private browser, no extension or plugins, still the same result...

Hey Biggie1, sorry to jump in here, but have you cleared your browser's cache since you first noticed this?
Also, have you ensured that you're using the most up to date versions of your web browsers?
- Biggie13 years agoExplorer | Level 4
Latest versions of each browser.
I've cleared cache. Closed all windows and tabs and tried again and now it's working fine. Hopefully it'll stay that way if I open more tabs and windows.
Thank you! - thehoarder223 years agoHelpful | Level 5
Problem is back again, so went to accessbility and the boxes that you said to untick were ticked again. I unticked and seems to be better. Is this something that has to be done regularly?
