MS Word is not saving my changes (macOS Ventura 13.1)
They should know by now that updating to OS 13.2, and re-indexing Spotlight, don't work. How long will they keep handing out useless advice??
I'm also having a problem with MS Word not saving changes: I hit "save" and the document closes and immediately re-opens, the changes not having been saved. I have to "save as" with a new name, then delete the original, then restore the name to the new file (losing the creation date in the process.)
This is only happening with docs in the Spotlight folder. Anybody else seeing this? No error messages, but the odor of scorched permissions is in the air.

Hey jpdemers1, thanks for reaching out to the Dropbox Community.
Can you let us know the current sync status and version of the Dropbox application on your computer?
You can hover your muse over the Dropbox icon in your menu bar for this info.
And can you check if you get the same behavior, when you close the Dropbox app?

Status is "Up to date"
version is 167.4.4719
When I quit the Dropbox app, Word documents save normally.
When I re-launch Dropbox, Word documents continue to save normally. Seems to be fixed, at least for the moment.
I had also been noticing that every change required me to enter my password, which was getting annoying. I had literally just changed permissions on the "Cloud storage" to give read/write privileges to all, and had applied the new permissions to the contents. That may have had an effect.
Spotlight searches, however, still yield the squashed finder icon, and the files still don't open.
