How do I change the name on the account of a member of my team?
How do I change the name of a Dropbox for business member? I was able to change only the email address
Hey folks - I hope my message finds you well!
I just stumbled upon this thread and wanted to give you some more context about this.
Members of business teams are able to change their name from their account's settings (from their end) normally while Team Admins don't get this option even if they use the "Sign in as user" feature for security purposes.
In any case, thanks for sending along your feedback! I’ll be sure to pass your comments along to the team for their future consideration.
I hope this helps clear things up and should you have any more questions, please let me know.
Cheers!

If you have access to the email and the password associated with that Dropbox account, you can log in and change the name from the account's settings dps700!
Is this not working for you?

No, I do not have the private passwords of the members of the shared folder.

Changing the name on a Dropbox account requires access to it so they'll have to do it from their end then dps700!
Let me know if I am missing something here and in the meantime, have a lovely weekend.

Here's what I did. First you have to change the email address of the user you want to change to one of your personal email addresses, one not linked to dropbox. Then log out and sign in with that personal email address of yours but click the forgot password link. Go to that email and reset the password. Then log in as user using your email and new password. Click the smiley face and under settings change the name. Then log out and log in as admin, change the email address to the user's email. Reset password. Should be much easier.

Finn803: That sounds like it will work. Thank you!
